Test shots
This is a prison style mug shot, as in my final piece of the newspaper may include a similar image to this.
This a close up/ over the shoulder shot of the attacker piercing the knife into the victims knife, again the attacker is wearing a stereotypical clothing (hoodie). I like this shot because its effective we get to see the face of the attacker it’s frightening.
This is a medium shot, of two boys in a fight which involves the prop a knife, also the male with his knife in his hand is wearing a hoodie. This piece of clothing is key as hoodies are associated with crime and youths.
Mood board
This the mood board I designed on Photoshop. The purpose of this is to show what prop, costumes, locations and people I may be using to feature on my newspaper and billboard. I am probably going to use black males on my newspaper as it is about knife crime and the Media tend to stereotype black youths when talking about knife crime.

Bought Props
I have decided to use Amazon to buy my props as it is a relatively cheap website that is usually fast and reliable with delivering their products. These props will be used by the actors in my newspaper.
This is black hoodie that i have bought for the story on my front cover. The actor who will wear this is a black youth that kills an innocent member of society with a knife. The main reason why my actor is wearing this is because hoodies in the media are usually associated with blacks youths, violence and knifes.
This is fake blood that i have purchased, this will be used on the actors (murder) hands. The reason why i have chosen to do this is because it makes the newspaper images look more dramatic, eye catching and realistic.
This is a real kitchen knife i have bought from Amazon. This will be used as the murders weapon in the newspaper. I will also paint it with fake blood to make it look obvious that it is the weapon that killed the innocent civilian.
